Pastoral Letter by the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops’ Conference: GOD HEARS THE CRY OF THE OPPRESSED

"GOD HEARS THE CRY OF THE OPPRESSED": DOCUMENT OF THE ZIMBABWE BISHOPS ON THE COUNTRY’S CRISIS. 14 APRIL IS THE DAY OF PRAYER AND FAST

"We invite all believers to the Day of Prayer and Fast for Zimbabwe, on 14 April, which will be followed by a moment of prayer, every week on Friday, in all parishes”. Those were the final words of the Pastoral Letter of Zimbabwe Bishops, entitled “God Hears the Cry of the Oppressed”, which is going to be read on Palm Sunday, in all the parishes in the country. In the document – sent to Fides Agency - the Bishops’ Conference of Zimbabwe analyses the crisis affecting the country. (Agenzia FIDES 30/3/2007)
